How to care for your jewellery.

Whether you own a piece of jewellery that is passed down from generations or a new purchase, it is important to take good care of it so that it can last forever. Here are some tips to help you take care of your jewellery and ensure it lasts forever.

  1. CLEAN IT - Dirt, dust, and other substances can accumulate on your jewellery and dull its shine over time. To keep it clean, use a soft-cloth and warm water with a mild soap to gently clean your jewellery.
  1. STORE IT - This can help to avoid scratches and other damage. Ideally, store your jewellery in the HOUSE17 soft cotton travel bag and in a jewellery box to keep it out of direct light when not wearing and reduce the risk of tarnishing.
  1. NO NASTIES - Hairspray, perfume, and makeup can cause damage to your jewellery. To prevent this, put your jewellery on last in your routine. Also, best not to wear your jewellery while swimming or in the shower as the chlorine and other chemicals can cause damage.
  1. BE GENTLE- Handle with care, take off your jewellery before exercise or before going to bed to prevent damage.
